Custom Unreal Wood Material

Wood Texture Breakdown:

1.Vertex Color Masking:

Added vertex colors to the geometry in Houdini. Material Separation: Used vertex colors (RGB) to mask between different procedural materials — separating "edges" and "panels." Panel

2.Color Variation:

The blue channel controls wood panel colors:  Different blue intensities are used to Lerp different wood colors across panels.

4..Edge Detail Control:

Red and Green channels are used to mask and blend edge paint effects like white chipping.

5.Mask Adjustment:

Applied power functions to fine-tune mask contrast and control variation strength.

6.Final Blend:

Combined all masks to drive the final material blending.
